Wonderful and very hard to find, the covered butter dish by Metlox Poppytrail "Vernon ware" in the classic TRUE BLUE pattern, with hand painted blue and green tulips. The background is white glazed ceramic, with little dark speckles.
This butter dish features a pale blue underplate measuring 7.5" wide, and marked with the Metlox Vernon Ware mark. The dome measures 5.5" wide and 4" tall. Both the dome and the underplate are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or utensil marks.
